How do you design multi layer pieces?

All my pieces start off as an idea in my head that then gets illustrated in vector format on the computer. Some pieces take a few days, others can take weeks to design depending on the size, complexity and number of layers.

How is it created?

Once the final design is complete, I begin the long process of prepping the wood. This involves ripping, sanding and staining each layer, then individually cutting each layer on the laser cutter. Then cleaning and touchups before gluing each layer together by hand. Once glued together, it is prepped for finish which is normally 2 coats of timber wax spray which protects and retains the colour of the timber.

Where are your products made?

All of our products are made in Sydney, Australia.

What type of wood do you use?

Mostly 3mm plywood. This is ripped down to size, sanded and pre-stained prior to laser cutting.

What if my mirror breaks?

All mirrors are on the back most layer and are held in place by frame stays. This allows the mirror to be easily removed for cleaning or replacement.

What if a product is out of stock?

Whilst we do try to keep all items in stock, there may be times when we are sold out of our most popular products. You may still place an order. Please expect 3-4 weeks for your product to be created and shipped.

How do I hang it on the wall?

All our products are ready to hang - no need to add your own mounting hardware. Our pieces either come with frame hangers pre installed for easy hanging onto the wall, or if the design has space, there are holes/keyhole slots cut into the back layers for easy hanging onto the wall. We recommend hanging on the stud of a wall or if this is not possible using plasterboard anchors.

Can it be hung outside?

Our products are suitable for indoor use only.

How is my order shipped?

Your order is shipped via AusPost in heavy duty cardboard boxes - 2-3mm thick. This will protect your order in transit.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your order is damaged in transit, please contact us and provide images of where the damage has occurred and we will do our best to come up with a solution. If the mirror is broken, we will send you a free replacement mirror that can easily be replaced by you with a screwdriver.

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately not at the moment. This may change at a later date but for now we only ship domestically in Australia.
